Teen Challenge Golf Marathon-- PAP Charity

We strongly believe at Park Avenue Photographers in counting your blessings and passing one on.

Of course we are appreciative of our wonderful photographers
and love the fact that they have hearts of sharing and caring.

We present the latest charitable cause from Pat---- and ask that you support him in his efforts if you are able.

Park Avenue photographer Pat O'Malley is respectfully soliciting sponsors to benefit Teen Challenge of St. Louis.  The event is a “golf marathon” - taking taking place Monday, September 17, 2012.
Pat's intention is to play 108 golf holes - he will accomplish this by simultaneously playing six (6) balls on each of the course's 18 holes.
Sponsorship can be on a "per hole" basis, or a flat donation.  Pat's goal is to secure pledges/contributions totaling at least $1000.   Any/all contributions are deductible, as Teen Challenge is a 501(c)(3).

To edify Pat's desire for participation, please note the following:
  • In 1958, Teen Challenge was established in New York City, by David Wilkerson.  Since its humble beginning, Teen Challenge has grown into one of the oldest and most successful programs of its kind.
  • A study by the Department of Human Resources indicates that Teen Challenge has a positive impact. Dr. Catherine Hess, former study director, states that, “…whereas treatment for a drug addict in a detoxification facility results in a 1% cure rate, and the therapeutic community’s cure rate is about 10%, the Teen Challenge program has an amazing 86% cure rate.” (The Federal Government recognizes anyone who has been drug free for a period of five years to be completely recovered.)
  • Dr. Hess further states, “The Teen Challenge program is the best I know of to get a person off drugs.”
  • Dr. John Howard, former member of the National Commission on Marijuana and Drug Abuse, concurs with Dr. Hess, saying, “Of all the drug programs reported to the Commission, the most successful is the religiously-based program conducted by Teen Challenge.”
  • Due to this success, Teen Challenge now has over 180 programs nationwide.  Teen Challenge of St. Louis, established in 1966, has been helping restore broken lives for over 40 years.
Should you make the decision to sponsor him, please make your check payable to Teen Challenge St. Louis, and send your check to Pat's attention at the Park Avenue Photographers studio, 1711A Park Avenue, St. Louis, MO, 63104.

If you wish, Pat will acknowledge receipt of your gift via email (please include your email address with your gift).

Each person providing a contribution will receive an acknowledgement (for income tax purposes) from Teen Challenge.
Thank you!
